Why be a Vendor at the Ribfest Block Party?

With live entertainment, midway attractions, and mouthwatering BBQ, the Ribfest Block Party promises a feel-good atmosphere that attracts up to 70,000 visitors of all ages! Your participation will directly support the Make-A-Wish Foundation; a cause dedicated to granting the wishes of children with critical illnesses.

When: June 6-9th 

Where: At the New Brunswick Provincial Exhibition, 361 Smythe Street, Fredericton 

Cost: $275 + tax for the 4-day event (Includes 1 Vendor Pass + 1 Parking Pass + 2 Weekend Passes for helpers) 

Space: 12 x 12 ft outdoor space (Outdoor spaces only)   

Market Hours: Thur 3pm-9pm | Fri & Sat 11am-9pm  | Sun 10am-5pm 

Vendor Guidelines: 

We encourage Vendors of all backgrounds to apply, however our focus is to secure those offering products or services that are related to summer, recreation, dessert food items, apparel, and other retail items. To maintain a balanced marketplace and support our existing hot food operations, we will be accepting a very limited number of Food Vendors.  

1. Vendors are only permitted to sell the items they have listed in this application and have been approved to sell. 

2. Vendors are encouraged to bring their own tents, umbrellas, tables and chairs; with the understanding that all equipment must fit and remain within your 12 x 12 space. All patio sized umbrellas and pop-up tents will require appropriate weighted anchors. The Market grounds are paved, making spikes and tent pole anchors not an option.   

3. Vendors agree to keep their display set up for the events market hours, unless discussed with the Ribfest Organizers. Ribfest Organizers will determine the location of your space. All Vendor spaces will be outdoors.   

4. Vendors offering food products for sale require registration with the NB Department of Health and hold a valid, provincially recognized Food Safety Handlers Certificate on site, along with a menu and list of ingredients. 

5. Beverage Clause: Vendors participating in the Ribfest Block Party are not permitted to sell Pop or Bottled water during the event. Pop and Bottled water will solely be managed by Make-A-Wish, as a component of the event’s fundraising initiatives. 

6. Vendors are not allowed to sublet their space. 

7. Draws, raffles or ticket sales of any kind are not permitted at our event. 

8. All displays must be neat and attractive for the duration of the event. All boxes, tubs and cases must be stored out of sight. We ask that Vendors leave their space as they found it each day. Vendors will remove all garbage from their booth and dispose of it in the appropriate receptacles. 

10. Vendors must finish their space set up prior to the gates opening. Vendors will have up to 2 hours prior to opening each day to arrive and prepare for the gates opening. If more time is needed, arrangements can be made with Ribfest organizers to facilitate additional time.   

Payment Deadline: May 31.

    Cost: $275 + tax for the 4-day event. Includes 1-Vendor Pass, 1-Parking Pass and 2-Weekend Passes for Staff or Helpers.

    Tax: +$41.25 HST
